Names Matt Edson as President and Art Briones as Chief Operating Officer
Newberry Industrial Services is pleased to announce the appointment of Matt Edson as President and Art Briones as Chief Operating Officer (COO) as the company launches its next chapter of growth and expansion in industrial services.
As President, Edson will lead the company's strategic direction, business development initiatives, and overall growth strategy while fostering a culture centered on customer success and operational excellence.
As Chief Operating Officer, Art will oversee daily operations, project executions, and organizational performance, ensuring that Newberry Industrial Services delivers exceptional service and maintains the highest standards of safety, quality and customer service.
Newberry Industrial Services is a Cap Pro-owned company, joining fellow sister companies Electrical Engineering Enterprises, Inc. (EEE) and Flo Power & Substation Services (FPSS). Matt brings 37 years of experience across the industrial, environmental, and heavy industry sectors — shaped by extensive work in environmental services, chemical processing, phosphate operations, power generation, mining, material handling, and nuclear support, managing reactive maintenance, capital construction, and major outage execution. His alignment philosophy: “when our people grow, our organization grows, and when our teams succeed, our clients succeed.”
Art Briones
Chief Operating Officer
Art is an accomplished industrial construction senior executive with more than 30 years of experience building industry-leading organizations and leading complex industrial projects. His experience spans the phosphate and mining industry, aerospace, nuclear power, cement and aggregates, and fuel terminal facilities.
